Four Spurs stars were called up by interim boss Southgate as they were training in London before travelling to face Slovenia.

The Tottenham boss was able to watch on from the side as Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Kyle Walker and Danny Rose all trained with England at their club's training complex.

Only Walker and Alli featured in England's 2-0 victory over Malta, whilst Rose and Dier settled for places on the bench.

Rose was brought on after 19 minutes when Southampton's Ryan Bertrand picked up a hamstring injury, meaning Rose is expected to start Tuesday evening.

Alli was pushed into the No. 10 role by Southgate as he opted to play Wayne Rooney deeper in midfield alongside Jordan Henderson.

And the 20-year-old is expected to keep his position, with Rooney being dropped to the bench.

Meaning Dier is expected line up alongside Henderson in midfield to replace the Manchester United star.

The holding player was sacrificed against Malta, after Southgate tried finding a place for Rooney in his starting line up.

Whilst Spurs' main man Harry Kane missed out on the squad all together after picking up an injury in Tottenham's win over Sunderland.
