Overall Lewandowski scored an incredible 344 goals in 375 matches at the Bavarian side.

The 33-year-old forced a move to Barcelona and despite his successes at the Bundesliga champions he is now very unpopular.

On his way out he was heckled by Bayern fans who shouted "Hala Madrid" at him, the chant sung by fans of Barca's rivals Real Madrid.

He also made headlines recently blasting his former club for lying about his transfer.

Lewandowski made claims of "bulls**t" and said there was "a lot of politics" involved in the club trying to explain to fans why he wanted to leave.

There was speculation of a fall-out with team-mates as he "hardly spoke" to them after declaring he wanted out.

However his official goodbye was more amicable, thanking Bayern and hugging manager Julian Nagelsmann.

He described his time at Bayern saying: "These eight years were special and you don't forget that. I had a great time in Munich."

Since arriving at Barca, Lewandowski has already taken the No9 shirt from Memphis Depay but has reportedly taken a pay cut to seal the switch.
