Aston Villa wonderkid Carney Chukwuemeka, 18, available for bargain transfer after snubbing new contract
ASTON VILLA could potentially lose millions of pounds after wonderkid Carney Chukwuemeka rejected a new contract.
The midfielder, 18, has entered the final year of his contract and is already attracting huge interest.
Barcelona have already had one offer rejected for the £20million-rated ace - but they could land him for peanuts.
Any potential new employers would have to pay Aston Villa compensation for the England youth international.
However, the reports that Chukwuemeka can move to a foreign club for compensation of around £300,000 to £400,000, which is significantly less than what an English team would have to pay.
The youngster is free to speak to clubs from January ahead of becoming a free agent next June.

And he knows that it is not only Barcelona that will be keen to discuss terms.
A host of German sides are also watching developments closely.
His valuation continues to drop by the day at Villa as the end of the transfer window approaches.
But no club is yet to meet his asking price yet, with foreign suitors seemingly ready to sit and wait instead.

He has also been left behind from the club’s pre-season tour of Australia after snubbing the latest extension offer.
Boss Steven Gerrard said: “The best thing for him would be to continue his training programme back at Bodymoor.”
Chukwuemeka further strengthened his credentials while on international duty this summer.
He played a key role as he captained England to U19 European Championship success last month.
The Austrian-born youngster grew up in Northampton and joined them.
He moved to Villa in 2016 and made his senior bow last season as he went on to make 14 appearances in total.
