MANCHESTER UNITED new boy Lisandro Martinez is quite the trickster it seems.

Footage has emerged of the £55million man showing off his outrageous skill in Ajax training from before he joined the Red Devils.

The 24-year-old cleverly flicks the ball up over his head, while standing behind the goal line.

Martinez then spins around while the ball is in the air.

As the ball drops he catches it perfectly on the half volley with the outside of his boot.

The ball heads goalwards, somehow spinning into the back of the net despite Martinez actually starting from BEHIND the goal line.

Martinez then casually walks past the camera after showing off the outrageous skill as if nothing has happened.

While the trick shot is very impressive, fans are not convinced it will help Martinez when he pulls on a United shirt in a match scenario.

One poked fun at Martinez on social media in response to the video, saying: "That will be useful in defence."

Another wrote: "Cant wait for him to pull that one off in defence!"

And a third joked: "Shame he’s a CB…"

Martinez played under United boss Erik ten Hag for three years at Ajax and will now link up with him again in Manchester.

The Dutch outfit accepted a bid for the centre-back worth an initial £46.8m, which is set to rise to £55m with add-ons.

He is United's third signing of the summer, following Tyrell Malacia and Christian Eriksen in joining Ten Hag's Old Trafford revolution.
