WOMEN'S Euros boss Nils Nielsen has sent out a desperate appeal... for TOILET PAPER.

Switzerland coach Nielsen has seen his squad decimated by a stomach bug in recent days.

Eight players, plus 11 staff, were struck down by gastro-intestinal problems.

It has been far from ideal preparation for their Euro 2022 clash with Sweden at Bramall Lane on Wednesday.

And Nielsen aimed a swipe at English food as he related their problems.

The Dane told Swiss media: "Personally I am feeling fine.

"But if you want to help us, you can send us some toilet paper.

"I'm staying positive, and I think we will be ready for the Sweden game.

"But there are better ways of preparing for a match than being sat on the toilet the whole time - or permanently being hunched over the bowl.

"It is far from ideal.  We will work with the players to get them ready for the game.

"I got some pasta to eat yesterday.  But you know that the food in England is a bit heavy.

"The girls were given rice and biscuits - but few of them managed to eat."
