Aston Villa sign Ludwig Augustinsson on season-long loan transfer with option to buy from Sevilla
ASTON VILLA have agreed a season-long loan deal to sign Sevilla left-back Ludwig Augustinsson.
The 46-times-capped Swedish international has an option to make the deal permanent.
The deal is now only subject to the 28-year-old gaining a work permit.
Augustinsson worked with Villa's head of recruitment Johan Lange at FC Copenhagen.
Now he will provide quality, experienced back-up to current left-back Lucas Digne.
Villa have been looking for cover in that position since selling Matt Targett to Newcastle United for £15million last month.

Augustinsson started just nine league games for Sevilla last season, and made three appearances in the Champions League group stages.
The Swede is set to join up with his Villa teammates, who are currently preparing for the new season in Australia.
It means Augustinsson will reunite with his former Sevilla teammate Diego Carlos who joined Villa in a £26m deal earlier this summer.
Meanwhile, Digne says he’s happy to be back in an Aston Villa kit after he and his team-mates arrived Down Under.
