It ends a trophy-laden eight-year spell for the Belgium international at Anfield.

Milan announced they were "delighted" to announce the signing.

Origi posed for photos with the famous red-and-black shirt and was joined by technical director and legendary defender Paolo Maldini.

The striker has been keen to join the Serie A champions for a while as his opportunities under Jurgen Klopp have dried up.

Origi was used as a squad player by the boss as he picked up only two league starts in the last two seasons.

He still managed six goals and four assists in 18 appearances across all competitions this campaign.

The forward was never able to establish himself as a starter ever since joining Liverpool from Lille in 2014.

He was loaned back to the Ligue 1 outfit as well as German outfit Wolfsburg.

But the centre-forward still managed to become a cult hero thanks to a number of iconic moments with the Merseyside club.

It all started when Origi scored a late winner against local rivals Everton in 2018.

And it was six months later when he truly became an icon as he led a stunning Champions League comeback against Barcelona with two goals at Anfield.

That took Klopp's men to the final and Origi came off the bench to net his team's second, which sealed the famous European trophy win against Tottenham.

The striker has amassed a total of 41 goals and 18 assists in 175 appearances throughout his eight-year stint with the Reds.
