Austin Powers star Verne Troyer is his side’s lucky charm as Pittsburgh Steelers romp to victory

The actor famous for his role as 'Mini-me' was Antonio Brown's guest of honour

VERNE TROYER fulfilled a childhood dream as he watched his favourite team Pittsburgh Steelers live from Heinz Field as they romped their way to victory.

A dominating 43-14 win over Kansas City Chiefs kept the pressure on divisional leaders Minnesota Vikings as they top the AFC North standings.

The 47-year-old has been an avid fan of the Pennsylvania side since the '70s and was treated in spectacular fashion.

Pittsburgh's superstar wide receiver Antonio Brown, 28, gave Troyer pre-game sideline passes, access to his suite to watch the Sunday night encounter and then let the actor chill out and meet the team after the game.

Just when he thought his night couldn't be getting any better, the Austin Powers star was handed the match ball, given to him by his new friend.

Troyer proved to be a lucky mascot for Brown as he scored two touchdowns on Sunday night's win.

The Steelers recovered sensationally from their worst defeat in 27 years in week three against Philadelphia Eagles, where they were humiliated losing 34-3.

In the first quarter against Kansas, Pittsburgh scored 22 points which was a franchise record.

Ben Roethlisberger threw for 300 yards and five touchdowns for the six-time Super Bowl champions.
