  • Nov-el idea?

Cryptic Novak Djokovic refused to reveal what is in the mystery bottle he appears to be inhaling from during Wimbledon matches.

The reigning champion has been spotted consuming something from a water bottle at changeovers.

Video footage shows the Serbian look towards his box, point at the bottle and then put his lips to the mouthpiece then squeeze the contents of the bottle into his mouth quickly.

It has raised questions over what Djokovic is doing.

But when quizzed on it after his four-set semi-final win over Brit Cameron Norrie, the No1 seed refused to give his secrets away.

He joked: "Magic potion," then broke into laughter.

Djokovic - who also eats dates during matches as part of his gluten-free diet - then added: "That's all I can say. It helps.

"You'll find out soon, but I can't speak about it now."

It is understood the contents are an unmixed energy drink or isotonic powder - an effective way of a quick boost on the court.

  • Still action at SW19

There may have only been one men's semi-final today - but that is not the end of the tennis just yer.

Mixed-doubles champ Desirae Krawczyk and partner Danielle Collins are locked at 2-6 6-3 3-3 with top-seeds Elise Mertens and Shuai Zhang on Centre in the ladies' doubles.

And British duo Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid are going well in the wheelchair doubles.

They are serving for the first set of the semi-finals - as they aim for an 11th consecutive Grand Slam together.

  • Weight of glory

Djokovic has revealed he spotted Cam Norrie in the locker room earlier... using his own scales.

The Brit apparently doesn't trust the numbers on the ones provided by the All England Club.

    Talk about attention to detail.

Djokovic said: "Very professional guy. He brought his little scale to weigh himself after the warmup.

"I was thinking to myself, 'Wow, there is a scale in the locker room, but he doesn't trust it. He brought his own.' So I thought, 'Wow, this is professionalism on another level.'

"It seemed to me that he's really being very precise with his weight, how much liquids he's losing. I guess that's the main reason for it.

"He's very thorough about his chores and his preparation and his recovery. I like to see that because I have that kind of approach, as well.

"With this kind of approach, I feel like you're always going to get chances. You're always going to get rewards for being so professional."

  • Djokovic defends his kiss

The Serb was asked by SunSport about the blowing of the kisses to the crowd at the end.

But he defended himself by suggesting he was directing it at one of his fans who was cheering for him.

    Right...

  • On the perfect start...

Norrie: "It was a great atmosphere, especially right from the start I managed to break then.

"The crowd was obviously way behind me. I think I, for the most part, used it to my advantage.

"I think a couple times there at the end it looked like he was getting a bit distracted with the crowd.

"I really enjoyed the atmosphere, enjoyed the match. Obviously not the result that I wanted. A little bit disappointing in terms of the way I executed in a few parts."

  • Norrie into press

Cameron Norrie is just about to start his press conference.

Let's see what the defeated Brit has to say.

He should definitely be proud of this fantastic run to the semi-final.

Remember, before this Wimbledon fortnight, the No9 seed had never gone beyond the third round in a major.

  • Another record for Novak

Sunday's showdown with Kyrgios will be Djokovic's 32nd Grand Slam singles final.

And that is a new record in men's tennis.

Roger Federer is second on 31 with Nadal - who has the most Grand Slam titles with 22 - just behind on 30.

    Next on the list?

    Ivan Lendl on 19.

  • Mixed reaction

There was certainly a few different responses to Novak Djokovic as he comes to the microphone for his on-court interview.

  • More boos for Novak

    Wow.

The Centre Court crowd did not take too kindly to Djokovic's response after match point.

I think he looked out for the fan giving him some grief and blows kisses to the crowd - as if to say, "Take that!"

  • Djokovic 2-6 6-3 6-2 6-4 Norrie

    GAME, SET AND MATCH, DJOKOVIC!

Norrie puts a needless forehand into the tramlines and Djokovic needs three more points.

An ace at 15-15 puts him within two before the Serb sends a forehand of his own flying wide of the mark.

Serve and volley. Old school. Match point...

Big serve down the T framed by Norrie!

It's all over and there are some boos as Djokovic glares at the crowd.

  • Djokovic* 2-6 6-3 6-2 5-4 Norrie

Djokovic wants to get this over and done with.

He slips down 30-0 but then produces a stunning drop volley which leaves Norrie chasing a lost cause.

A forehand slap misses the target and a backhand return long will force Novak to serve it out.

  • Djokovic 2-6 6-3 6-2 5-3 Norrie*

A backhand into the tramlines off the strings of the Serb's racket gets this Centre Court crowd excited.

But Djokovic is experienced enough and focused enough and, quite simply, good enough to not let it deter him.

He is a game away from the final.

  • Djokovic* 2-6 6-3 6-2 4-3 Norrie

Norrie refuses to go without a fight!

He is a battler and grinds through another service game.

The No9 seed is keeping himself pumped with some shouts of encouragement as Djokovic sails one out.

    Still just the single break...

  • Djokovic 2-6 6-3 6-2 4-2 Norrie*

From the roar at the end of the previous game...

To the quiet of Novak Djokovic relentlessly and efficiently winning points on serve.

A deathly stare from the Serb in the direction of one vocal fan who gives him some stick before he sends down a perfect T ace.

  • Djokovic* 2-6 6-3 6-2 3-2 Norrie

A let cord goes for Djokovic again and Norrie can only kick the ball away in further frustration.

Djokovic has the chance to turn the screw but nets a drop shot at 15-30.

He works up break point anyway, though, with yet more bonkers angles and superb hitting.

    Saved by Norrie!

Excellent tennis from Djokovic, beautifully crafting the point before a brutal volley.

But that break point is also saved by a fine point and simple forehand winner.

Break point. Ace to save. Fourth deuce.

And finally, after a controversial - and wrong - overrule by the chair umpire, Norrie holds.

A standing ovation and a deafening roar.

  • Djokovic 2-6 6-3 6-2 3-1 Norrie*

That was like first-set Norrie, having Djokovic chasing and scrambling before tucking the ball away behind the Serb. 15-15.

But the No1 seed refuses to be shaken.

  • Djokovic* 2-6 6-3 6-2 2-1 Norrie

    Ah, yes.

    That's more like it.

Norrie races into a 40-0 lead with some confident hitting.

He closes out the hold and is on the scoreboard in this must-win fourth set.

  • Djokovic 2-6 6-3 6-2 2-0 Norrie*

    Oh that is special.

Novak Djokovic produces some divine tennis in this game.

The touch and feel and control are extraordinary.

    He consolidates the early break.

  • Djokovic* 2-6 6-3 6-2 1-0 Norrie

    DJOKOVIC BREAKS!

Norrie sensibly goes off for a comfort break to regather his thoughts.

He may well have done a Djokovic-style pep talk to himself in the toilet mirrors - telling himself he can win these next two sets.

A hold at the beginning of this fourth, you feel, is an absolute must.

From 30-0 to 30-30, Norrie lets the Djokovic lob bounce long before netting for deuce.

He reads the Djokovic shot after bringing the Serb in but then misses the backhand pass to offer break point...

A forehand long is a nightmare start for Norrie - a frustrated whack of his shoes and racket bag is totally understandable.

He has a mountain to climb...

  • Djokovic 2-6 6-3 6-2 Norrie*

    GAME AND THIRD SET, DJOKOVIC!

Djokovic sends the first one out but Norrie then sends a limp return into the net. Frustrating.

Djokovic brings Norrie in and it's another crushing sprint that ends in watching the ball bounce past him as the Serb tightens the screw.

An ace brings up two set points...

He is a set away from the Wimbledon final as Norrie nets a forehand on the run.

  • Djokovic* 2-6 6-3 5-2 Norrie

This Centre Court crowd will cheer Cam Norrie to the very end today - and righty so.

There is a roar of approval as he moves to 30-0 but a distinct drop off in decibels as Norrie misses for 30-15 and again for 30-30.

Norrie tucks away a poor Novak drop shot and a return long gets a big "come on" from the Brit.

Djokovic will serve for the third set...

  • Djokovic 2-6 6-3 5-1 Norrie*

Djokovic is looking every part the six-time champ on this court.

He chases down a let cord with a big stretch and forces Norrie to try something special with the lob - and Novak makes no mistake.

  • Djokovic* 2-6 6-3 4-1 Norrie

Djokovic puts himself 15-30 ahead with dominant ball-striking a neat volley.

A good serve draws Norrie level in the game but he eventually nets under heavy hitting from Novak.

    Norrie sends a backhand long!

    That's the double break.

Djokovic lets out an almighty roar towards his camp.

Seven of the last eight games, he's won.

  • Djokovic 2-6 6-3 3-1 Norrie*

    Another routine hold for Djokovic.

He certainly looks more comfortable right now - both in terms of how the match is going and his physical state.

  • Djokovic* 2-6 6-3 2-1 Norrie

Better from Norrie who knows he must go on the attack.

Djokovic is moaning to his box about something - he is not happy about something.

A return wide stops the rot and Norrie gets his arms going to try and pump the crowd up.

They need to get behind him, here.
