Man Utd in Tyrell Malacia transfer blow as Lyon close in on left-back after agreeing £13m deal with Feyenoord
MANCHESTER UNITED have been dealt a blow in their battle to sign Tyrell Malacia, according to reports.
Journalist claims Lyon are closing in on a £13million deal to sign the Feyenoord left-back.
Final details of the transfer are being discussed with it nearing completion.
United were believed to be interested in Malacia, 22, who impressed for the Eredivisie side last season.
Feyenoord finished third domestically but enjoyed a great run to the Conference League final, eventually losing to Roma.
Malacia played 50 matches across the campaign registering five assists and one goal.

Lyon look set to win the battle for his signature thanks to the player being open to working with Dutch boss Peter Bosz.
Malacia missed just four matches in the season and his good form earned him a call-up to the Dutch national side where he has since earned five caps.
Erik ten Hag is supposedly keen on signing his compatriot as he looks to rebuild the Red Devils this summer.
United are linked with six players this summer who have ties to Holland.
