Manchester United’s record signing Paul Pogba’s late-night parties at the Lowry hotel spark furious complaints from guests
French midfielder even posted a video of himself on Instagram partying in the same hotel as his manager Jose Mourinho
GUESTS at a top hotel have cried foul over loud parties held by Manchester United’s record signing Paul Pogba.
The club has footed the bill for his stay at the city’s five-star Lowry — as well as nearly £40,000 for boss Jose Mourinho.
But fellow residents have been kept up by music, dancing, shouting and singing from the £90million France star’s room when pals visit.
He posted an Instagram video of himself dancing wildly to his sound system.
One miffed guest said: “The noise was awful. It was non-stop singing, shouting and crashing about.
"I complained to reception and they said it wasn’t the first time someone had complained, but did nothing.
“It seems because Pogba is so famous and United pay so much to the hotel, ordinary guests don’t matter.”
The hotel offered her an upgrade on her next visit after she complained to management by email.
It’s unlikely the Lowry will be taking any action against party boy Pogba after their lucrative relationship with the Red Devils.
Mourinho has been there at least 126 nights and the mega-rich club have agreed to pick up the tab while Mourinho looks for a house, probably in upmarket Cheshire.
But with performances on the pitch looking decidedly dodgy, some fans are wondering if the Special One could be checking out of Manchester altogether if the team doesn’t start picking up points.
United pay for bed and breakfast but other meals, phone calls and dry cleaning must be paid for by the ex-Chelsea boss.
While his family remain in London, Mourinho is living out of a suitcase since he was named United boss on a four-year contract in the summer.
In contrast, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, whose club sit top of the Premier League after a perfect start, is currently living in the city centre.
Guardiola’s wife Cristina has followed the ex-Bayern Munich boss from Germany, along with the couple’s three children, son Marius and daughters Maria and Valentina.
But Jose will have to go some way to beat the stay of former City and England boss Sven Goran Eriksson.
The Swede spent nine months in a £1,500-a-night suite at the plush Radisson Edwardian hotel during his spell with City which led players to jokingly liken him to fictional TV character Alan Partridge, a radio presenter who famously lived out of a budget hotel.
Man United and the Lowry did not comment.
