Leeds on brink of £12m Marc Roca transfer after leapfrogging West Ham and Wolves in race for Bayern Munich star
LEEDS are close to beating West Ham in the race to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Marc Roca.
The Hammers want the Spaniard but the Whites are in pole position to seal a deal for about £12million.
Wolves were also keen on the 25-year-old who has won the Bundesliga and Fifa Club World Cup with the German giants.
And La Liga side Sevilla have shown an interest in the star who has played just 24 times since arriving at the Allianz Arena in 2020.
Roca caught Bayern's eye after making his name at Espanyol, the club he joined as an 11-year-old.
He would help bolster a Leeds midfield which was badly hit by a lack of cover and a lengthy period out injured for their England star Kalvin Phillips last season.

Roca's time in Germany coincides with Leeds boss Jesse Marsch's short spell in charge of Bundesliga side RB Leipzig last year.
Marsch is carrying out a summer rebuild of a squad which only survived relegation from the Premier League last season after a dramatic final-day win at Brentford.
The American arrived at Elland Road in February and therefore missed the January window chance to reshape the side he inherited from Leeds legend Marcelo Bielsa.
Roca would be the Yorkshire giants' third signing of a busy summer window so far.

The Whites' first new arrival was American attacking midfielder Brenden Aaronson, 21, from RB Salzburg for a reported £22m.
They followed up with another £10m signing from the Austrian top-flight side in the shape of Denmark right-back Rasmus Kristensen, 24.
