Leeds in De Ketelare blow

Leeds have been dealt a huge blow in their transfer pursuit of Club Brugge ace Charles De Ketelaere who's allegedly agreed terms with AC Milan.

The Whites were reportedly preparing to table a club-record bid of £32m for De Ketelaere.

But Milan seem to have beaten them to the punch, according to Calciomercarto.

The Italian side have reportedly worked out personal terms on a £4.2m yearly contract with the playmaker.

Liverpool 'were interested in Sterling'

Liverpool were allegedly interested in a controversial move to bring Raheem Sterling back to the club before he agreed to join Chelsea.

The England star, 27, is on the verge of completing his £45million transfer from Manchester City to the Blues and becoming Thomas Tuchel’s first summer recruit.

Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain were all interested in securing the forward.

And the The  claims that Sterling’s old club Liverpool were also in the hunt.

No bids made for Cucurella

Brighton have not received a transfer bid for Marc Cucurella amid links with Chelsea and Man City.

That's according to Seagulls owner Tony Bloom, who wants the "tremendous" defender to stay put next season.

Bloom told the BBC: "Marc is a tremendous player, a tremendous person. He’s brilliant for the dressing room.

"The players love him, Graham and the coaches love him, I love him, the fans love him. He was unbelievably good last season, his first season in the Premier League.

"We’re hoping for more to come and we haven’t had a bid for him."

Lewis Ferguson set for Bologna

Aberdeen star Lewis Ferguson is set to complete a shock transfer to Bologna.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is reportedly “pushing” for his side to make a bid for Paris Saint-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe.

The German managed Kimpembe at PSG for two-and-a-half years prior to his December 2020 dismissal.

Cristiano Ronaldo has not been included in Manchester United's pre-season tour of Thailand and Australia.

Blues offered Barca pair

Chelsea duo Memphis Depay AND Sergino Dest have reportedly been offered to Chelsea in a double swap deal for Marcos Alonso and club captain Cesar Azpilicueta.

The Catalan giants hold a long-term interest in the Spanish duo and are keen to negotiate swap deals rather than pay a fee.

And according to the Daily Mail, Depay and Dest are two names who have been offered to Chelsea for Alonso and Azpilucueta, with new owner Todd Boehly in Barca to discuss a number of deals.

De Ligt blow for Prem sides

Bayern Munich chief Hasan Salihamidzic reportedly flew to Italy this week to hold secret talks with Juventus over Matthijs de Ligt.

The news comes as a blow to Chelsea and Manchester United, with both clubs interested in the Dutch defender.

Salihamidzic jetted to Italy and met with Juve sporting director Federico Cherubini in Milan, according to German outlet Bild.

It's claimed the pair spoke for three hours on the subject of a potential transfer for De Ligt.

The 22-year-old's representatives are reported to have stopped discussions with other clubs with the defender set on a move to Bayern.

Leeds in record bid for forward

Leeds United are prepared to splash a club record £32million for Club Brugge star Charles De Ketelaere, reports suggest.

According to The Mirror, the Whites are willing to meet Brugge's asking price and offer £25.6m up front with another £6m in add-ons.

That would eclipse the Yorkshire outfit's current club record fee of £30m they paid Valencia for Rodrigo in 2020.

However, Leeds are still facing a bidding war as AC Milan are also keen on De Ketelaere as they made a £17m bid, which was rejected by the Belgian giants.

Leicester are also monitoring the situation but have yet to make an offer for the versatile playmaker.

Former Arsenal ace Jack Wilshere is set to return to his former club as Under-18s head coach.

The Athletic's David Ornstein reports that the appointment is being finalised, with the 30-year-old's backroom staff taking shape.

Ronald Koeman revealed Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong wants to stay at the Nou Camp amid links with Manchester United and Chelsea.

De Jong is United boss Erik ten Hag's top target in the summer transfer window as he looks to boost his midfield after Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic's departure.

Koeman said during a press conference ahead of the 'Koeman Cup' golf tournament: "With Frenkie, with Memphis, I have a lot of contact.

"So his intention is to continue at Barca and nothing else. It's the only thing I know.
