Lionesses squad announcement for Euros delayed following family bereavement for England boss Wiegman
ENGLAND WOMEN’S Euros squad announcement has been pushed to next week after Sarina Wiegman suffered ‘a close family bereavement’.
The Netherlands-born Lionesses chief will be absent from her side’s training camp this week.
The FA say news of England’s final squad for this year's European Championship will be delayed until the week commencing June 13.
And it is expected Wiegman will return to coach her players in person then.
In the England chief's absence, assistant Arjan Veurink will take charge of training this week with the team set to face Belgium, the Netherlands and Switzerland later this month.
The provisional squad will continue their preparations this week with one month to go until the start of the Euros.

A written statement from the FA read: "A close family bereavement means Sarina Wiegman will not be with the England squad for this week’s camp at St. George’s Park.
"Sarina has put a full plan in place for the coming days, with the expectation she will be back with the squad from Monday 13 June."
England have enjoyed an unbeaten run under Wiegman since she took charge of the national side in September.
The squad have won eight World Cup qualifiers under the head coach.

And they also triumphed in the Arnold Clark Cup tournament following a defeat of Germany and draws against Canada and Spain.
The team will commence their bid to win the Euros on home soil on July 6 with an opening game against Austria at Old Trafford.
They will then face Norway at the Amex on July 11 before a duel with Northern Ireland at St Mary’s on July 15.
