Luis Suarez puts Premier League clubs on red alert with plans for next season and confirms ‘many’ transfer offers

LUIS SUAREZ has put old pal Steven Gerrard on red alert by claiming he wants to stay playing at the “top” level.

The Uruguayan bid an emotional farewell to Atletico Madrid last week in a 1-1 draw with Sevilla.

The striker, 35, will leave this summer after two years at the Wanda Metropolitano following a stint at Barcelona.

Atletico fans showed their appreciation to the veteran, unveiling a banner which read: "Thank you Lucho for making us champions."

Suarez scored 21 goals last season to help Diego Simeone's side to the title - the 19th trophy of his career.

And although he has not been a regular for Atletico this season Suarez still has 12 goals to his name, sparking transfer interest.

A number of clubs are keen on the hitman, who is believed to be keen on a return to Barcelona.

However, Gerrard played alongside him at Liverpool and is allegedly hoping to convince Suarez to sign for him at Aston Villa.

Now the frontman, who is also wanted by West Ham, has revealed that he has plenty of options on the table transfer wise.

But he threw open the door to a sensational Premier League return while insisting that he has yet to decide on his future.

Speaking to , Suarez said: “Trust me, I’ve not decided where I’m gonna play next season.

“I’ve received many proposals.

“Clubs from Argentina, Brazil and Mexico approached me but I want to play at top competitive level again.
