Araujo leaves hospital a day after Barcelona star’s horror collapse with quick-thinking Aspas helping to save his life
RONALD ARAUJO has left hospital after getting the all-clear following yesterday's horror collapse.
And rival player Iago Aspas was hailed for helping to save the defender's life.
Emergency services rushed Araujo, 23, to A&E on Tuesday night after a sickening clash of heads with Barcelona team-mate Gavi during the 3-1 win over Celta Vigo.
The Uruguayan defender initially got up and carried on running before worryingly falling to the turf.
Fellow Barca centre-back Eric Garcia was first on the scene and quickly waved over medics as Celta captain Aspas rolled Araujo into the recovery position.
After a concussion was confirmed, he was kept in the infirmary overnight and underwent further health checks this morning, where it was decided by doctors he was clear to head home.
