Steven Gerrard leaking cash after sinking almost £1m into trendy ‘healthy’ water firm
FOOTBALL great Steven Gerrard is leaking cash after sinking almost £1million into a trendy company flogging so-called healthy water.
The Aston Villa boss, 41, was among investors forced to pump £2.5million into Angel Revive.
It sells Natural Alkaline Water from a spring in rural Lancashire — for £20 a case.
The ex-Liverpool and England midfielder owns a 25 per cent stake in the business, which is run by one of his pals.
His investment will help prop up the company which has debts of £788,483 and has suspended orders after running out of stock.
Gerrard — worth an estimated £45million — had already invested heavily in the business after previously agreeing to loan it £371,524.

He became an ambassador for it in 2019.
He was introduced to the high- alkaline water while playing for American side LA Galaxy in 2015-16.
The company claims alkaline drinks are believed to have health benefits in regulating pH levels in the body and “preventing/reducing acid levels”.
But a disclaimer also states: “The health benefits of drinking alkaline water is based on acknowledged scientific data. Angel Revive Natural Alkaline Water is not making any claim that drinking our water has any medicinal benefits. The belief is yours.”
