UFC star Colby Covington shows off chipped tooth and facial injuries after being attacked by Jorge Masvidal in street
COLBY COVINGTON was left with a chipped front tooth and bruising on his face after being sucker-punched by Jorge Masvidal.
The former interim UFC welterweight champion was attacked by his old pal at the Papi Steak restaurant in Miami last month just a matter of weeks after their grudge match.
Masvidal allegedly wore a surgical mask and hoodie before sneaking up and attacking his former room-mate.
Police reports revealed Covington had suffered a cracked tooth and other facial injuries, although photos of Masvidal's handiwork have only just seen the light of day.
The images show that Covington's left central incisor was badly chipped and bruising around the welterweight contender's top lip.
Snaps of Covington's injuries came to light as a result of a medical records request from Masvidal's lawyer Bradford Cohen.

Cohen said in his request: “Interestingly, the images do not demonstrate an injury aside from a small chip in C.C.’s fake tooth.
“The evidence collected thus far clearly contradicts C.C.’s allegations. C.C. claims that Defendant hit him from behind.
"Exclusive footage shows that during the incident, C.C. was facing the individual he identified as Defendant.
"In fact, C.C. was looking at Defendant head-on prior to taking the hit then appears to run from Defendant in fear.”

In addition to claiming he suffered a brain injury, Covington also claimed his £76,000 ($95,000) Rolex had been damaged in the altercation.
But Cohen cast doubt over the legitimacy of the watch by branding it a "Folex" and calling for it to be examined by experts.
He wrote: "This nickname indicates that a watch is composed of aftermarket parts including fake or knock-off Rolex parts and possibly real Rolex components — certainly negating the testimony that the watch is worth $95,000.00.
“To calculate repair costs and extent of damage to C.C.’s FOLEX, the watch needs to be examined more closely to determine the true value of the watch.”
Masvidal, 37, was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and felony criminal mischief following the alleged incident.
Gamebred has yet to speak about the alleged assault, although he did brag about it on social media a few hours later.
He said: "I’m calling this show your face challenge. Wassup, I’m from Dade County.
"You talk that s*** you’ve got to back it up. That’s how my city rolls, man.”
Masvidal's alleged assault of Covington came just a few weeks after he lost their UFC 272 grudge match in Las Vegas.
And just hours after losing their clash, he vowed to everything in his power to break Covington's "f***ing jaw".
He said: "It just sucks because this idiot talked about my kids.
"He’s still somebody, if I see him out in the streets, I’m going to give him everything I've got to break his f***ing jaw.
