Chris Ashton: Saracens will not appeal winger’s 13-week ban for biting as Mark McCall continues to stand by his man
Controversial star is going to be sat on sidelines for a while after chomping on Alex Waller's arm
SARACENS will not appeal against Chris Ashton’s 13-week biting ban as they head into the London derby at Harlequins.
Boss Mark McCall said: “The club has been fully supportive of Chris and we are naturally disappointed to lose a player of his calibre for 13 weeks.
“We put forward what we thought was a strong case for both charges to be dismissed but the decision to suspend Chris is one we accept.
“We will continue to support Chris during his enforced time away.”
Danny Cipriani will make his 100th start for Wasps at Northampton.
