RALF RANGNICK will include four youngsters in his Manchester United squad to take on Chelsea tonight.

The Red Devils have been badly hit by injuries ahead of the clash with Rangnick admitting he was hesitant to throw young players in at the deep end.

Paul Pogba, Jadon Sancho, Luke Shaw, Fred and Harry Maguire are all unavailable for the Old Trafford clash with Maguire's knee injury possibly keeping him out for the rest of the season.

In their absence exciting attacker Alejandro Garnacho is set to be named on the bench, after scoring a brilliant solo goal in the FA Youth Cup in February.

He will be joined by Hannibal Mejbri who impressed with his fight and determination after being brought on at Anfield in last week's defeat to Liverpool.

Full-back Alvaro Fernandez will also make an appearance on the bench for the first time with Aaron Wan-Bissaka also a doubt.

The Spanish left-back joined from Real Madrid in 2020 and has contributed four goals and six assists for the under-23s this season.

Shola Shoretire is also set to return to the first-team for the first time since coming on as a substitute against Young Boys in the Champions League this season.

The 18-year-old has made four appearances in total with three of those coming last year.

He may be unlikely to feature against the Blues however with Rangnick not keen to play youngsters in such a big game.

United still have an outside chance of qualifying for the Champions League and Rangnick wants to show his team can compete with a top side like Chelsea after losing three of the last four.

He said of his youngsters ahead of the match: "We have to be fair enough to those players, it has to be the right moment.

"They should have the chance to play well and perform well, it should be the right moment.”
