City boss decides against 460-mile round trip in build-up to facing Swansea for second time in four days
MANCHESTER CITY are staying in Wales in the build-up to a second match at Swansea in four days.
Pep Guardiola's men won Wednesday's EFL Cup tie 2-1 and have been limbering up at Dragon Park, Newport, for Saturday's Premier League clash.
Guardiola decided against a 460-mile round trip and booked into the five-star Celtic Manor complex, home of the 2010 Ryder Cup.
Guardiola's co-assistant Mikel Arteta was behind the idea.
He worked to become a certified coach at Dragon Park and helped negotiate use of the resources with Wales Football Trust.
