Gary Neville admits his Sky Sports commentary was ‘slightly unprofessional’ during Liverpool’s demolition of Man Utd
GARY NEVILLE admits his commentary was “unprofessional” after he praised Hannibal Mejbri's foul on Naby Keita during Manchester United’s defeat at Liverpool.
The Red Devils were smashed 4-0 by Jurgen Klopp’s side on a humiliating night for the club.
United's legendary former manager Sir Alex Ferguson looked heartbroken in the stands as he helplessly watched on.
Roy Keane ripped into the club as he declared that the team is devoid of leaders, heart, soul and quality.
And Neville was left fuming with United when speaking on commentary for Sky Sports, as he blasted the squad as a "waste of space".
However, the only piece of praise he did dish out was for late substitute Mejbri.

The 19-year-old only came on in the final moments but was soon flying into tackles and eventually got booked.
That led to Neville declaring that he was proud of the teen.
However, he later admitted his praise aired on the unprofessional side but still insisted fans could at least respond to Mejbri's efforts.
Neville said: “That is why I aired on to the slightly unprofessional side of commentary tonight.

“When I said that the kid [Mejbri] to be fair I was proud of him because he was going round trying to stop people and trying to kick people.
“But he demonstrated something, he showed something. He didn't like the idea of Liverpool, at Anfield, passing it around him and the idea of Liverpool taking the mick out of him and his team-mates.
“At least he demonstrated something. I am not saying it is brilliant because he could have hurt the Liverpool players, but as a Manchester United fan you can respond to that.”
