LEGENDARY coach Neil Warnock has announced his retirement from football management.
The 73-year-old appeared as a guest on Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday when he revealed his decision.
Warnock won a record eight promotions during his career, taking in 16 clubs as manager.
His most recent promotion came with Cardiff City as he guided them to the Premier League in 2018.
Warnock's last job was at Middlesbrough where he was sacked in November 2021.
The Yorkshireman also won promotion to the Premier League with QPR in 2011 and with Sheffield United in 2006.

His first promotion came at non-league Scarborough in 1987 before taking Notts County from the bottom division to the top in two years.
Next came another play-off win with Huddersfield in 1995 and one at Plymouth a year later, taking them to the Second Division.
Warnock also won the Championship manager of the month 11 times and was even named London's Sports Personality of the Year in 2011.
Now the former boss will speak at events around the country, starting in Cardiff and Sheffield.

Warnock built up a reputation for giving match officials a tough time over the years and also consistently wound up opposition fans, so he is glad to start his UK tour in what he called friendly areas.
Asked if he would return to management Warnock told : "No, I've got one or two interesting things lined up.
"I'm looking forward to doing a few 'Evening with...' things around the country.
"I'm going to do one in Cardiff and one in Sheffield in September, they're the friendly places."
