It is a Man City throw though, level with the edge of the Liverpool box.
Man City 0-0 Liverpool
1. It's Liverpool who get us underway at the Etihad.
Matip immediately goes long looking for Mane, but his ball is overcooked and flies straight out of play.
It's met by ironic cheers from the home crowd.
Peeeep!
We're underway at the Etihad!
This. is. it.
Teams in the tunnel
Here we go then!
Jordan Henderson and Kevin de Bruyne lead their teams out at the Etihad as 'Hey Jude' belts out from the stands.
Strap yourselves in, kick off is next!
Jesus back in the side
Manchester City man Gabriel Jesus starts his first Premier League game since January 1 today.
But you can understand why Pep Guardiola has selected him.
The Brazilian forward has scored four goals in four home appearances against Liverpool.
Keane says draw not enough
Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane has rubbished suggestions that the teams will settle for a draw.
He says: "That can't be your mind set.
"I think sometimes if you're under pressure, you've had a man sent off, there's five, ten minutes to go and you're not at it you might think 'We'll settle for a draw'.
"But you don't get to win trophies like Man City have done and Liverpool over the last few years by settling for draws.
"Their mind set has to be 'Let's go and win this game of football.'"
Half century of meetings
This is the 50th Premier League match between Manchester City and Liverpool.
And it's City who boast the better head-to-head record.
The Etihad side have won 20 of the fixtures compared to Liverpool's 18 victories, with 11 draws.
Klopp is Guardiola's kryptonite
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has lost more matches in all competitions against Jurgen Klopp than versus any other manager.
The German has come out on top an impressive eight times against his Spanish counterpart.
And it's a similar story the other way round, with Guardiola also beating Klopp eight times in history.
That's the joint most against the Reds boss, tied with Felix Magath.
Jurgen Klopp all smiles
The Liverpool boss looks like the most relaxed man in the building!
Warm-ups well underway
Phil Foden scored in the return game at Anfield back in October, which finished 2-2.
Will the City star be on the scoresheet again today?
Klopp says Liverpool are "prepared"
And here's what Jurgen Klopp has to say to Sky Sports: "Good. All prepared, all set. Let's go. That is it.
"Didn't think about playing the occasion. I don't know exactly what it means. We are here to win a football game. It is difficult because the opponent are really good.
"But apart from the quality of the opponent the rest is the same, as always.
"Both teams will have to defend and have possession. Usually City a bit more than us. We want to extend our own selves as well.
"There is nothing new. It is just pushing through your idea and trying to get on top of the game."
Pep previews before kick off
Here are the pre-match thoughts of Man City boss Pep Guardiola, talking to Sky Sports.
He says: "Our closest rival in the table right now. Seven left after this fixture, There are 21 points to play and difficult ones for both sides.
"Today, nobody will be the champion.
"They defend different to teams around the world. I have to adjust something but we have in the past. The quality of the players they have, we have to do something."
Man City goals guaranteed
Here's another stat to wet your appetite for goals.
Liverpool have not kept a clean sheet at the Etihad since way back in 2010.
The Reds though have kept five clean sheets in their last five Premier League games...
Reds on a hot streak
Victory for Liverpool today would be an ELEVENTH Premier League win in a row.
Last week's win over Watford made it 10 consecutive Prem wins for just the fifth time in their history.
The only other team to do that?
Manchester City.
Countdown to kick off
This is your 45 minute warning!
That's all there is to go now until kick off in what is without doubt the biggest game of the season.
Let's just hope it's not 0-0!
