Cristiano Ronaldo wins THIRD Man Utd Player of the Month award of the season after Tottenham hat-trick heroics
CRISTIANO RONALDO has been crowned Manchester United player of the month for the third time this season.
The 37-year-old returned to Old Trafford last summer and made an instant impact upon his arrival.
He has netted 18 times in 32 games so far this season, making him the club's top goalscorer.
Ronaldo had the perfect start to the season, winning the player of the month award for both September and October.
Now, he has added a third award to the collection.
The Red Devils only recorded one win during the month of March, but it was a crucial result.
Ronaldo scored a hat-trick to help his side to a 3-2 win against fellow top four competitors Tottenham.
Man Utd boss Ralf Rangnick was full of praise for the Portuguese superstar after the game. He said: "Since I arrived, that was Ronaldo's best performance.
"Energetically he was good, part of the whole team when we had to defend.
"A top performance by him, but also the rest of the team... It is a challenge with a player like him but he has shown today he still has the quality to play for a club like Manchester United and he is also a part of the team."
