Man Utd star Paul Pogba snubs Kante and De Bruyne as he shockingly names ex-Liverpool ace Emre Can as toughest opponent
MANCHESTER UNITED star Paul Pogba surprisingly named Emre Can as his toughest ever opponent.
Pogba has competed at top level ever since joining Juventus in 2012 and continues to this day with United, following his return to Old Trafford in 2016.
The midfielder has crossed paths with some of the absolute best in Serie A, Premier League and Champions League as well as the World Cup and Euros with France.
The 29-year-old has had some intense battles with the likes of Chelsea ace N'Golo Kante, Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne and Barcelona legend Andres Iniesta in the middle of the pitch.
But he shockingly suggested none of them gave him a fiercer battle than former Liverpool player Can.
Pogba told Football Joe when asked who has been his toughest ever opponent: "Emre Can.

"Obviously with, like, N'Golo and everything. But one guy I remember I had like a big battle with [is] Emre Can."
Can joined the Reds in 2014 from Bayer Leverkusen and spent four years at Anfield before his departure for Juve.
The midfielder amassed a total of 14 goals and 12 assists in 167 appearances.
Pogba faced him on five separate occasions and never lost against the Germany international.

Can currently plays for Borussia Dortmund following an impressive loan stint two years ago.
Pogba, on the other hand, looks set to become a free agent as his contract with United runs out in June.
