Tom Brady retirement update – NFL star NOT retiring as he announces he will be back with Buccaneers
TOM Brady has announced that he is coming out of retirement after only 40 days off the field.
The NFL legend made the announcement Sunday on his with an emotional message mentioning his family and teammates.
“These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands,” he wrote.
“That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family.”
Brady said that he will be returning for his 23rd season in Tampa.
“Unfinished business LFG.” he wrote.

Brady initially announced on February 1 that he is going to retire from the NFL at age 44 after glittering 22 seasons as a quarterback.
"This is difficult for me to write, but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore," he said in the post.

However, rumors about whether Brady was truly retired always circulated. He infamously said “Never say never," when asked about the possibility of coming back.
He sparked further speculation on Saturday when he met soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo during a trip to Manchester United's home ground in the UK.
Ronaldo was seen in a shared to Instagram asking Brady about his retirement. “You’re finished, right?” asked Ronaldo.
Brady takes a second to shrug his shoulders before answering: “That’s what I don’t know.”
Then just hours later - on Sunday evening - Brady made the shock announcement.

How long has Tom Brady played in the NFL?
After being the 199th overall pick in the sixth round in the 2000 NFL draft, Tom Brady played for the New England Patriots until 2019.
However, on March 20, 2020, Brady signed a two-year contract with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers worth $50million.
He has spent 22 seasons playing in the NFL.
During his stellar career, Brady won the Super Bowl seven times, winning in 2001, 2003, 2004, 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2020 respectively.
Furthermore, he was named the Super Bowl MVP during each Super Bowl win, with the exception of 2004 and 2018.
