FRED has been a much maligned figure in his four years at Manchester United.
The problem is when you are a Red Devils midfielder the bar you have to reach is very, very high.
Bryan Robson, Roy Keane etc…
Sometime it is so high it can’t be reached.
But there is no doubt that the little Brazilian is enjoying his best spell at the club under Ralf Rangnick.
Yes, there are some positives at the club at the moment.

His understanding with Cristiano Ronaldo is improving all the time with the pair becoming good friends off the pitch as well.

Understandably it is Ronaldo’s name in lights after his super hat-trick, but there were other jobs being done, and done well on the pitch for United, not least by Fred.

Picking it up from the back four to set things moving then getting into the final third to link up with the forwards.

Defensively he was always there on the top of his own box scrapping away to win posession.
He was there as an outlet for his teammates when they needed to pass. He was just buzzing everywhere.
That is the frustrating thing for Rangnick.
