The former interim welterweight champion prevailed in the Battle of Miami - which had been four years in the making - in the main event of UFC 272 on Saturday night.
Covington, 34, effectively utilised his wrestling and grappling in the five rounder to claim a unanimous decision victory.
And just hours after crowning himself the 'King of the 305', he jetted over to the to celebrate his victory.
Covington arrived at the swanky venue at 2am on Sunday morning with a group of 40 of his loved ones.
The welterweight standout - who was welcomed with a 'Miami King' letter card - and his crew took up two VIP booths.
Man of the moment Covington even got in the DJ booth with world-famous deck spinner Marshmello - who gave the UFC star a shoutout.
But unlike several other fighters who have celebrated their victories with Vegas afterparties, Covington didn't stay out for too long.
In fact, the super health-conscious Covington only stayed out for an hour before heading home to get some much-need R&R.
Despite comfortably getting the better of Masvidal, the controversial Covington was far from impressed with his display in their Sin City showdown.
He admitted: "It wasn't my best performance. Just a lot of emotions going into it.
"That was a real friend of mine at one point in my career. … I let my emotions get the best of me.
"But it was still dominant. I showed the world how good I was."
As he made his way backstage past press row, an elated and fired-up Covington said: "I run the f***ing 305! "I'm the king of 305."
And he's called on former pal Masvidal to LEAVE Miami losing their desert dust-up, saying: “I’m the king of Miami now.
“Jorge needs to leave the city. It’s not big enough for the two of us.
" He needs to leave, or he’s gonna get sparked again."
