UFC star Colby Covington makes outrageous claim about Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier’s wife Jolie
COLBY COVINGTON has reignited his rivalry with Dustin Poirier by digging up an outrageous claim about his foe’s wife and Conor McGregor.
The 34-year-old is preparing to face Jorge Masvidal tomorrow at UFC 272.
But he has used his media appearances in the build-up to unleash a nasty rant against his former American Top Team partner Poirer.
The problems between the two began when ‘Chaos’ predicted that ‘Diamond’ would not be able to handle the wrestling abilities of Khabib Nurmagomedov ahead of their clash in September 2019.
Covington then went on to bash Poirier’s wrestling abilities before his foe replied by insisting that he wants to fight his former teammate on the streets.
Now the star has astonishingly accused Poirier’s wife, Jolie, of cheating with McGregor, who is engaged to and has three children with Dee Devlin.
Discussing a potential bout with Poirier, Covington said: “That fight needs to happen. He’s talking too reckless in the media now.
“He said, ‘It’s on sight,’ and the last time he was talking to you clickbait merchants he was saying, ‘Oh, I’m not gonna fight Colby in the Octagon where there’s finances on the line. I’m gonna fight him in the streets and we’re both gonna go to jail.’”
Covington added: “It’s funny cause it’s very ironic because he talks about being a family guy, a good guy but he wants to fight me in the streets and potentially go away from his family.
“So, Dustin Poirier has all these stipulations to fight me. I just have one stipulation. My one stipulation is he lets the world watch and enjoy themselves.
“You know Dustin, like you do with Conor when he’s in bed with your wife Jolie. You little cuck.”
Covington’s low blow comes after McGregor dragged the Poirier’s wife into their own war of words.
The Irishman branded Jolie Poirier a 'h*e' as he laid on the octagon canvas with a broken leg after his UFC 264 trilogy fight loss to The Diamond.
Then in August McGregor commented on a video of Poirier discussing a previous street fight with the words ‘sounds about right’ - which led to the star sharing a photo of his foe sleeping on the canvas.
And that set McGregor off as he unleashed a tirade towards Poirier.
He wrote: “Ye pal live on that one way back, I will too. I bounced your head off the canvas like a basketball. Your wife bro. The dm’s.
“Elbows into your dome. The soft part of the skull that doesn’t harden ever. From when you’re a baby. Drilled into your skull at 100mph. U slept on my belly!”
Poirier replied himself with ‘1-3’, which led to McGregor responding with ‘three commas’.
