JORGE MASVIDAL has vowed to leave former pal Colby Covington in 'CRITICAL CONDITION' after their eagerly-anticipated grudge match.
The former room-mates turned rivals will collide in a blockbuster welterweight showdown next month at UFC 272 in Las Vegas.
Masvidal has been itching to get his hands on his old American Top Team team-mate over allegations of leaving a trainer unpaid and plans to leave him needing medical treatment after the fight.
The Miami mauler told : “[Covington is] Definitely [my most] disliked [opponent]. It’s nothing personal, it’s business.
"Since I got into it, I knew the type of people I’d be getting myself involved with, options that could happen, so forth and so forth. It’s somebody I firmly don’t like at all whatsoever.
“I’m hoping that the referee on the way to pulling me off of him slips on a banana peel and I get some extra shots in, really change his life and his face structure.
"Colby’s in critical condition on Monday. It’s bad."
Masvidal, 37, has intentions of leaving his former best friend with life-changing facial injuries.

The UFC's BMF said: "He’s gonna have a couple eye orbital fractures, a couple breaks here and there. But the main thing is I want to change his life, man.
"I want to change his life in a very drastic way and I’m gonna do everything I have in me to do that.”
Masvidal - who is currently on a two-fight skid - made a similarly chilling vow in an Instagram video earlier this month.
He said: "Keep talking s***, though, I can't wait man. March 5th is getting closer and so is this knee to your temple.
"Not only am I going to break your face in a violent way, but the UFC is going to see you as such a liability that they’re going to kick you out, bro.
"And then it’s going to be back to Indian reservations where you can fight.
"Maybe you can co-main event or some s*** like that because I don’t think you can main event after I’m done with you in any show.
"I’m going to f**k you up, man. March 5th can’t come close enough. See you soon b***h.”
