CONOR MCGREGOR hasn't fought in the UFC since losing his trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier in July last year, with no plans in place for his next bout.
UFC chief Dana White has teased fans though, with the possibility of an epic trilogy clash against McGregor's long-time rival Nate Diaz.
Diaz has reportedly recently penned a new contract with White's promotion, and the latter was quizzed on whether that could include another meeting with McGregor.
Speaking to , White responded: "It could be. I think Conor will be back in summer. But I don’t know for sure. It depends on how his leg heals.
"There are a million things that could happen between now and then. To even speculate is stupid. I’ve stopped doing that.
"When McGregor contacts me and tells me he’s ready to start training 100%, then we’ll start talking about what’s possible for Conor."
McGregor and Diaz fought in two epic bouts back in 2016, with one win each to their name.
And a trilogy fight would be the perfect way to finally settle a rivalry that is sure to go down in UFC history.

With McGregor's last bout against Poirier also being a trilogy, the Notorious could opt for the same again next time out.
The 33-year-old is yet to return after suffering a horror leg-break in his defeat to Poirier at UFC 264.
But recent pictures of a stacked looking McGregor suggest the former champ is targeting a return to action this year.
The images emerged before two petrol bombs were thrown at McGregor’s Black Forge Inn pub in Dublin last week.
Police are investigating an incident of attempted criminal damage after the shocking events.
Speculation has also been mounting that a possible fight against YouTube sensation Jake Paul is on the cards.
McGregor even followed Paul's boxing manager on Instagram to add fuel to the fire of a future bout.
