EDDIE HOWE has already seen the impact that Jack Wilshere has had on his Bournemouth team mates since signing on loan from Arsenal.

Wilshere is yet to play in a competitive game for the Cherries but played 45 minutes against AC Milan in a friendly last Saturday a side that were chasing the midfielder along with Roma.

Howe moved for Wilshere when it was announced the player wanted to spend a season away from the Emirates after falling down the pecking order this season.

Arsenal moved to bring in Granit Xhaka which has meant Wilshere has found it harder to make a come back to first team after recovering from injury.

The Gunners loss is Bournemouth's gain and they are eager to get Wilshere playing regularly in the Premier League  as the club look to consolidate themselves as a permanent top flight club.

Howe said: ''I hoped the signing and the high profile nature of the signing will give the lads that confidence that having a player like Jack Wilshere in your squad can give''.

“I have seen a difference in our players and certainly standing next to them in the tunnel with the team can only inspire belief and confidence in the group''.

“Hopefully it will inspire us to be better coaches to our players and it will inspire the players onto another level.”

Arsenal fans are disappointed that Wilshere has decided to leave on loan especially with their track record of injuries in key areas.

The 24 year old's contract has two years left to run and if he impresses on the south coast bigger fish may be circling around the man dubbed to be a future Arsenal and England captain.
