Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino is spending transfer deadline day on a Spanish beach, leaving Daniel Levy to tie up the deals

A STRESSFUL transfer deadline day? Not for Mauricio Pochettino and Arsene Wenger it seems.

The Arsenal and Tottenham managers decided to spend the hectic day abroad, as Premier League clubs slug it out for new additions.

Pochettino was spotted relaxing in Formentera, the small Balearic island off Ibiza. Most of Spurs’ transfer dealings are dealt with by Daniel Levy, allowing the Argentinian some time in the sun.

He was snapped strolling on the beach, before enjoying an idyllic boat ride, clearly in high spirits.

But news that Spurs are still poles apart with Newcastle United on a fee for Moussa Sissoko might temper his mood somewhat.

The event is being hosted by former Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson, and current United boss Jose Mourinho will also be in attendance.

Wenger’s transfer dealings could be done following the £17million purchase of Lucas Perez from Deportivo La Coruna and Shkodran Mustafi’s £35million switch from Valencia.

They join previous summer signings Granit Xhaka (£30million), Takuma Asano (£3million) and Rob Holding (£2million).
