Toni Kroos saved Real Madrid's blushes with goal in the last 9 minutes to take all 3 points for Zinedine Zidane's men and stretch their winning La Liga run to 14 games.

Kroos hit a beautiful curling shot in to the bottom corner of the goal after a sublime pass from Lucas Vazquez found the German to hit the winner.

Fabian Orellana of Celta Vigo looked to have caused a frustrating evening for Madrid after he equalised 7 minutes after Alvaro Morata's opener in the 61st minute.

It was not a great performance by the European champions as their lack of creativity in the final third to break down Celta was frustrating for the hosts.

Celta's game plan to keep everything tight looked to have paid off as the likes of Gareth Bale, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos couldn't unlock the door.

The away side were not scared to hit Real Madrid on the counter attack through out the 90 minutes causing the Madrid back four some problems.

It was in the last 30 minutes of the game that the match really started to come alive when Morata put the hosts ahead after a mix up at the back allowed for the Spaniard to fire home after a poor back pass.

Just 7 minutes later and Celta were back on level terms as John Guidetti teed up team mate Orellana on the edge of the area who's shot beat Kiko Casilla.

It wasn't enough to share the points however but Celta Vigo can be proud of their performance and caused a few scares for Real Madrid.

Morata made his Bernabeu return after he was re-signed by the club from Juventus in the summer and it now looks like Zidane wont be looking to sell him on.

Morata had a chance to get his first La Liga goal back in the white of Madrid  in the first half when the ball broke to him just outside the Celta Vigo box but he curled his shot wide of the post.
