England and Man Utd youngster Marcus Rashford’s £20,000 Rolex is stolen while he goes trampolining
Manchester United striker left devastated as impostor is accused of swiping prized possession
MANCHESTER United ace Marcus Rashford had his £20,000 Rolex watch taken while trampolining.
The England striker, 18, had asked staff to put his Day Date II in a safe while he enjoyed a day with family and pals.
He forgot to collect it after his £8.95 session and later contacted trampoline park Jump Nation to ask for its return.
But he was told that a man claiming to be a relative had already been in and got it.
A source said: “Marcus is devastated by the loss of his watch.
"He bought it for himself and one of his first big purchases. He’s a sensible lad who has his feet on the ground. The Rolex was a treat to himself for his breakthrough season.
“What’s made it all the more upsetting is that someone has apparently pretended to be a family member to take it.”
Cops studied CCTV and arrested a man, 22, on suspicion of fraud. He was freed on bail.
A spokesman for Jump Nation, based near United’s Old Trafford stadium, said it was a police matter and the venue was sharing “all available evidence”.
Rashford, paid £50,000 a week, scored twice on his United debut in February, a 5-1 Europa League win over FC Midtjylland.
He got two on his Premier League start in a 3-2 victory against Arsenal, and netted 138 seconds into his England debut against Australia in May.
