Maradona, considered one of the best footballers of all-time, was spotted alongside his 25-year-old on-off girlfriend Rocio Oliva.

Decked out in a tracksuit, trainers and a cap, Maradona is seen with bandages wrapped around his head and under his chin.

Spots of blood can be seen, but Maradona was fit enough to drive home.

It follows pictures on Thursday of Maradona arriving at the same clinic for what was claimed to be orthomolecular treatment – an anti-ageing process using nutrients.

He is reportedly undergoing an anti-ageing treatment which sees him pumped full of Vitamin C.

Maradona admitted earlier this week that he has turned to a German biomolecular scientist in his latest attempt to lose weight.

He has struggled with his weight and even has a gastric band but has now turned to Dr Ruben Muhlberger.

Dr Muhlberger said: “I have made a commitment to him and he has done the same to me, Maradona will be his old self again very soon.

“You can not talk about a nutritional plan with Maradona, because he is a disciplined guy.

“He is not greedy, he has a sportsman’s habits.”

Maradona is said to be having the treatment for four or five hours per day for the next two months.

It is not the first time Maradona is believed to have gone under the knife.

The former Napoli and Boca Juniors star was reported to have had a previous facelift 18 months ago, after pictures emerged of him looking dramatically different.

Maradona, who led Argentina to the World Cup in 1986, claimed on Thursday that Lionel Messi’s international retirement was all staged.

“I do not know if Messi’s retirement was a set-up to help us forget about the fact that we lost three finals in a row.

“The lad first said that he was going to give up and then took a step back and managed to change his mind in just a matter of weeks.”

Messi quit the national team after missing a penalty in the final of the failed Copa America campaign before performing a U-turn just two months later.
