ENGLAND were held at home by Hungary as Gareth Southgate’s men dropped points in their quest for the 2022 World Cup.
Southgate made a raft of changes, but there were unsavoury scenes early in the game with Hungarian fans fighting police in the away end.
Roland Sallai smashed the visitors ahead after Luke Shaw gave away a penalty, but John Stones’ header levelled the scores in a frantic first-half.
The Three Lions pushed hard for a winner in the second period but were unable to land that crucial blow.
