Conor McGregor trolls UFC rival Khabib with Simpsons ring girls meme and boasts he is ‘undefeated in post-fight brawls’
CONOR MCGREGOR has reignited his long-time rivalry with Khabib Nurmagomedov by firing several shots at him on Twitter.
The two were embroiled in a fierce row before they fought at UFC 229 in 2018 - the promotion's highest selling pay-per-view - after the Irishman attacked a bus carrying the Dagestani and his team.
After Nurmagomedov submitted McGregor a huge post-fight brawl fuelled demand for a rematch.
Their war of words continued over the following years as Notorious tried to secure a rematch.
Those hopes were ended when Khabib retired with a record of 29-0 last year following his victory over Justin Gaethje while McGregor has since suffered two losses to Dustin Poirier.
He broke his leg at UFC 264 in the first round of their last fight in July which forced the referee to stop the action.
The 33-year-old is still recovering from that injury and wants another shot at Diamond - but that has not stopped him from poking fun at his old foe Khabib while he continues his rehab.
McGregor has posted an image demeaning Khabib for his comments about UFC ring girls at a press conference earlier this month.

Khabib claimed that ring girls are pointless to the UFC and other combat sports as they are not useful in any way.
He said: “Ring girls are the most unnecessary people in MMA, what function do they bring? You turn on the TV and you see it’s the second, why are they walking there?”
McGregor shared a shot from hit animated series The Simpsons that showed Smithers looking away and grimacing as two women danced in front of him.
The UFC mega-star wrote ‘Khabib’ over Smithers while he also put the names of much-loved ring girls Arianny Celeste and Brittney Palmer in the image.
POST-FIGHT MELEE
McGregor also had some words for Khabib’s team-mates Abubakar Nurmagomedov and Zubaira Tukhugov as he replied to comments from his followers.
Referencing the post-fight melee at UFC 229, he remembered the brawl in which he was attacked by the duo.
Even though he was outnumbered by Khabib's team, he still managed to successfully land punches on Tukhugov and Abubakar Nurmagomedov.
After he was sent a snap of the pair appearing to have black eyes, he was asked: “Remember when you did this?”
McGregor replied: “Yes I do. I am undefeated in post fight brawls and melees.”
He later tweeted: “Catch up you little rats this war is forever.”
