'SLEPT ON MY BELLY'

Conor McGregor drags Dustin Poirier’s wife back into feud and says he ‘bounced UFC rival’s head off canvas’ in rant

CONOR MCGREGOR has reignited his war of words with Dustin Poirier and once again dragged the American’s wife into their feud.

The Irishman branded Jolie Poirier a 'h*e' as he laid on the octagon canvas with a broken leg after his UFC 264 trilogy fight loss to The Diamond.

The pair have been at each other’s throats ever since, and last night Notorious unloaded on Poirier.

McGregor had commented on a video of Poirier discussing a previous street fight with the words ‘sounds about right’ - which led to the star sharing a photo of his foe sleeping on the canvas.

And that set McGregor off as he unleashed a tirade towards Poirier.

He wrote: “Ye pal live on that one way back, I will too. I bounced your head off the canvas like a basketball. Your wife bro. The dm’s.

“Elbows into your dome. The soft part of the skull that doesn’t harden ever. From when you’re a baby. Drilled into your skull at 100mph. U slept on my belly!”

Poirier replied himself with ‘1-3’, which led to McGregor responding with ‘three commas’.

McGregor is back training with his leg cast off just five weeks after surgery as he plots his UFC return.

McGregor suffered a broken tibia seconds before the end of round one in his trilogy bout with Poirier in July.

He lost by doctor stoppage and immediately went under the knife in Los Angeles and was expected to be on crutches for six weeks.

But it appears McGregor - who had revealed he was 'well ahead of schedule' - has made an even faster recovery.

The former two-weight champion uploaded a video working out on an exercise bike just five days after his latest operation.

He is hoping to return to the octagon in early 2022.
