ITALY are Euro 2020 champions after beating England on penalties at Wembley.

Ultimately it was to be heartbreak for England, with Gialuigi Donnarumma saving from Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka, while Marcus Rashford's penalty hit the post.

STAND TOGETHER
Hibernian showed solidarity with Bukayo Saka before beating Arsenal 2-1 tonight.
The Gunners star received vile racist abuse after missing a penalty in England’s Euro 2020 final defeat to Italy.
And Hibs made their support for Saka clear by presenting Arsenal with one of their club shirts adorned with the winger’s name on the back.
WHAT THE REF?
Premier League ref Michael Oliver was spotted singing along to England chants as the Three Lions lost the Euro 2020 final to Italy on Sunday night.
The 36-year-old was filmed clapping and singing along at Wembley and he also posed for pictures with fans inside the stadium.
Oliver is considered to be one of the best refs in England.
And although officials are not always the most popular people in the land, Oliver showed he is just like the rest of us in footage that has surfaced online.
STAND TOGETHER
Hundreds of well-wishers have arrived at Marcus Rashford's mural for a Stand Up To Racism vigil after the England hero was targeted with vile abuse.
Crowds took the knee at this evening at the Stand Up to Racism demonstration as they showed their support for Three Lions stars who received sickening racist abuse.
SHAW THING
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hailed Luke Shaw’s Euro 2020 heroics.
And he believes the left-back can continue his terrific form back at Man United.
Solskjaer said: “I’m so happy for Luke. I was watching it and ‘what’s just happened?'”
“He started the attack and we’ve encouraged him to get into the last third.
“We know how technically gifted he is and skilful he is and he hit the ball very, very sweetly.
“He keeps his eye on the ball, straight laces and it’s margins again – off the post and in, not off the post and out.
“That’s football for you. Luke deserves all the luck he can get. He’s had a tremendous couple of years with us.”
RASH DECISION
Marcus Rashford will be the first one to put his hand up to take a penalty kick if it ever gets to a shoot-out with Man United.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “You learn from it and definitely come back stronger. I’ve not seen many people, at this club anyway, who lay down and say I’ll not take a penalty anymore.
“I know Marcus is going to put his hand up and say he wants to take one for us.
“You know the thing is when you step up to take a penalty, I think you’ve already won.
“You’ve taken on the responsibility and I’m sure many of the players are hoping I don’t want to take a penalty.
“So I think it’s a great character trait to step up and say I will deal with it, and the consequences. You might be the hero or the one who misses. That’s football.”
GREAL LOVE
Jack Grealish megafan 'Mrs Grealish 69' is keen to 'collaborate' with her Aston Villa idol.
But she’s still waiting for him to get in touch.
Darcie Philp said: “[Jack] hasn't got in touch - I think he is playing hard to get.
"Maybe his girlfriend wouldn't be best pleased if he did though."
FA CHARGED
Uefa have charged the FA over FOUR separate incidents which took place during Sunday's Euro 2020 final at Wembley.
European football's governing body has come down hard on the FA after a number of incidents before and during the clash between England and Italy.
Disciplinary proceedings have been opened over a pitch invasion, throwing of objects by fans, booing the Italian national anthem and the stadium break-in.
SHEFFIELD SHOUTOUT
Sheffield Council says it is still prepared to offer a civic reception for England's stars despite their Euros 2020 final loss to Italy.
Officials want to pay tribute to Kyle Walker, 31, Harry Maguire, 28, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin, 24, who were all born in the city.
The Sheffield Star reports that reception plans have not been finalised.
However, it is thought players have been approached.
WEMBLEY WOE
FA chief executive Mark Bullingham reckons Wembley hosting of Euros 2020 went "very, very well" despite the chaos caused by ticketless fans at the final.
Clashes between stewards and fans without match tickets overshadowed the build-up to the clash between Italy and England.
And family and friends of Three Lions stars were among those caught up in the chaos.
Bullingham told ITV: “I think the overall feedback we’ve had from UEFA and everyone else involved in international football is that we, along with the other host countries, have done a brilliant job at hosting a tournament through a pandemic.
“We’ve had eight games at Wembley which by and large have gone very, very well.
“Of course things on Sunday night were upsetting, but overall in terms of the tournament things have been a success.”
MARCUS MURAL
Street artist Akse has been working on restoring a mural of Marcus Rashford to its former glory in Manchester today.
The creation on the wall of the Coffee House Cafe on Copson Street was targeted by thugs who scrawled abusive messages.
The wall was defaced following England's dramatic loss on penalties to Italy in the Euros 2020 final.
Rashford was among three England stars who missed from the spot during the nail-biting shootout at Wembley.
On Monday dozens of notes of support were added to the wall to cover up abusive graffiti.
PINNOCK'S POINT
Leigh-Anne Pinnock has publicly backed Bukayo Saka, Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford following the sickening racial abuse they received on social media after the Euros 2020 final.
The Three Lions stars have received support from across the world of football and entertainment after being targeted following their penalty misses against Italy and England's defeat.
On Instagram, the Little Mix singer wrote: "You can live here but be quiet.
You can work here but not all of you."You can speak at the table but not too loud. You can play for us but you can’t lose.
"Ladies and gentlemen I give you the Black British Experience. @marcusrashford @bukayosaka87 @sanchooo10 I stand with you."
RONALDO SNUB
Three England stars have made Uefa's official Euros 2020 team of the tournament.
Raheem Sterling, Harry Maguire and Kyle Walker are among the players included in the side.
But there was no place for Portugal superstar Cristiano Ronaldo despite the player becoming the all-time top scorer in the men's European Championship.
TICKET TROUBLE
The FA are to assess how fans without tickets were able to enter Wembley Stadium ahead of England's Euros 2020 final clash with Italy.
Scores were pictured breaching security and pushing past stewards ahead of the match which the Three Lions lost following a penalty shootout.
And video footage shared on social media showed people being physically attacked in the vicinity of the stadium.
An FA spokesperson said: "We will carry out a full review and investigation into the events that took place at Wembley Stadium before and during the Euro 2020 final.
"This will be done in collaboration with the police, the Greater London Authority, the Safety Advisory Group and the tournament delivery stakeholders.
"Security and stewarding numbers for the Euro 2020 final exceeded the requirements for the match and were greater than any other previous event at Wembley Stadium.
"No steward or security staff should be subjected to this type of behaviour and we thank them for their support on the night.
"We also apologise to anyone at the match whose experience was affected by this unprecedented level of public disorder."
GOOD MORNING EUROS FANS
Marcus Rashford has spoken out for the first time since being racially abused following his penalty miss against Italy.
The Man United star expressed his sorrow at missing his spot-kick in England’s Euro 2020 final.
But Rashford insists he will never apologise for who he is.
The striker also shared touching letters of support from children.
And England fans gathered at his vandalised mural to decorate it with more messages of support.
Meanwhile, Erling Haaland condemned racist abuse of Rashford, Bukayo Saka and Jadon Sancho.
The England trio were targeted by sick trolls after their penalty blunders.
And Borussia Dortmund star Haaland, linked with a Premier League move this summer, says he was left ’speechless’ by the attacks.
Finally, Leonardo Bonucci taunted England fans after Italy’s Euro 2020 win by shouting: “You need to eat more pasta!”
Bonucci first declared ‘it’s coming to Rome’ after Saka’s missed penalty handed Italy victory, in a dig at England’s adopted anthem Three Lions (Football’s Coming Home).
And the veteran, who guzzled beer in post-match celebrations, has now fired back at England fans who reportedly mocked Italian cuisine with chants during the match.
Bonucci said: “You all still have to eat a lot of pasta!”
Italy then celebrated their victory with an open-top bus parade in Rome.

It appears Southgate was planning for the eventuality during a group huddle at the end of extra-time.
Southgate headed towards Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho and Bukayo Saka before turning his attentions to Pickford and Phillips - suggesting the pair were next in line.
But Rashford, Sancho and Saka all missed to hand Italy victory in the Euro 2020 final.

EU SERIOUS?
Desperate England fans have started petitions to have the Euro 2020 final against Italy REPLAYED.
That’s after claiming Giorgio Chiellini should have been sent off for a foul on Bukayo Saka.
One petition description read: "Bukayo Saka was mistreated during the match between England and Italy.
"He was dragged down by his shirt by Giorgio Chiellini and given a yellow card when it CLEARLY should've been a red card.
"I do strongly believe that the referee was biased and in favour of Italy."

Le Tissier, who won eight England caps in his playing career, had a phenomenal record from 12 yards, netting 47 out of 48 spot-kicks.
The Southampton legend, 52, told GB News: “That’s a job I would quite happily do for nothing.
“Unfortunately in 20 years nobody has picked up the phone and asked me.
"But if somebody did pick up the phone I would be more than happy to help!”
