Baggies boss Tony Pulis sees United's Player-of-the-Year as perfect fit to fill problem position at Hawthorns
WEST BROM are poised to strike after young Leeds left-back Charlie Taylor rejected a new contract at the Championship club.
The former England Under-19 representative has a year to run on his current contract, but wants away from Elland Road.
And that’s a view shared by Leeds CEO Ben Mansford.
He told BBC Radio Leeds: "I think it's fair to say at this moment in time that Charlie doesn't want to extend his current deal with us.”
Baggies boss Tony Pulis has been on the lookout for a left-back since he arrived at the Hawthorns in January 2015.
He used midfielder Chris Brunt, Jonny Evans and James Chester in West Brom’s problem position last season.

That leaves 22-year-old Taylor, Leeds Player-of-the-Year last season, as a perfect choice to fill the void.
Taylor made his debut for Leeds when he was only 17 and has been first-team regular since the start of 2015.
He played 43 times last season, despite missing six weeks of it with through a bout of glandular fever.
It would cost the Baggies somewhere in the region of £5million to prise Taylor away from Yorkshire.
And they might have some competition from the promoted duo of Burnley and Middlesborough.
Leeds have already lost one of their young stars to the Premier League after Sam Byram joined West Ham for £3.7million last January.
