Who is Paul Pierce?

Paul Pierce is a former Boston Celtics star, who played 19 seasons in the league and has been working for ESPN since he retired from the sport.

Pierce, who has been an analyst for ESPN’s Get Up and The Jump, has been married to his wife Julie for ten years.

The couple first began dating during the All-Star weekend back in 2005 and have two daughters and a son.

The 43-year-old was fired from his position with the network after he posted a video himself smoking what appeared to be marijuana and dancing next to several women on Saturday night.

ESPN sources told the the network was particularly alarmed he himself posted the videos.

Should he have been filmed without his knowledge, he might still have a job, the insiders said.

Pierce is known as a legendary basketball player, who made a fortune while playing the league.

His earnings got even bigger when he got himself associated with the sports network,

Pierce has a net worth of $70 million, the media and entertainment website reported.

The sports analyst signed a contract in July 2010 with the Boston Celtics which included a team option worth $15.3 for the 2013-14 season. 

The website also noted that Pierce earnt approximately $22 million per year, which included $6 million made from endorsements. 

Pierce has appeared in advertisements for brands like Nike and American Express.

The former NBA star was fired from his position as a top contributor on the shows NBA Countdown and The Jump after he posted a video himself smoking what appeared to be marijuana and dancing next to strippers.

ESPN sources told the the network was particularly alarmed he himself posted the videos.

The married, father-of-three faced criticism over the raunchy footage posted in the early hours of Saturday morning in which he received a neck massage from a bikini-clad woman.
