Manchester United and England Under-20 striker Ashley Fletcher joins West Ham
England under-20 representative leaves Red Devils to become boss Slaven Bilic's sixth summer signing after arriving on four-year deal
WEST HAM have signed young Manchester United striker Ashley Fletcher.
The England Under-20 International rejected a new contract at Old Trafford to pen a four-year deal with the Hammers.
The 20-year-old Fletcher spent the second half of last season on loan at League One side Barnsley.
He scored nine goals in 27 appearances, including the first one as the Tykes secured promotion to the Championship with a 3-1 win against Millwall in the play-off final at Wembley.

The Yorkshire-born Fletcher is boss Slaven Bilic’s sixth summer signing following the arrivals of arrivals of Sofiane Feghouli, Toni Martinez, Havard Nordtveit, Domingos Quina and Gokhan Tore.
And he’s delighted to now call the Olympic Stadium home.
He said: “I am very excited to be here.
“West Ham are a massive club and I am just happy that I can come and further my development here at West Ham.
“I think it is a club with a lot of ambition.
“They have a lot of good players and it was a special final season. They managed to finish the campaign very well.”
Fletcher, who spent six years with the Red Devils without playing a senior game, hopes the move to east London will give him the opportunity to show what he can do in the Premier League.
He said: “West Ham are a club built on traditions of giving youngsters a run and hopefully I can get my chance as well.”
