BETTING SPECIAL: GET ENGLAND AT 50/1 OR SCOTLAND AT 120/1

  • DENMARK 1-1 BELGIUM

    61. Kasper Hjulmand has decided to make his first rolls of the dice shortly after Roberto Martinez.

Daniel Wass and goal scorer Yussuf Poulsen or Yurary, have been replaced by Jens Stryger Larasen and Christian Noorgard.

  • DENMARK 1-1 BELGIUM

    59. And just when you thought things couldn't get any worse for the Danes, it just has.

Yannick Carrasco and Leander Dendoncker off.

Axel Witsel and Eden Hazard on.

  • DENMARK 1-1 BELGIUM

    58. First yellow card of the game goes to Daniel Wass after committing a foul on Thomas Meunier.

  • DENMARK 1-1 BELGIUM

    56. That was literally the first bit of magic we've seen from Belgium all evening and it produces a goal.

I guess this is why they are ranked the best country in the world.

  • DENMARK 1-1 BELGIUM

    55. When you have the ability to bring someone like Kevin De Bruyne off the bench, you always have a chance.

Lukaku did well to sprint away from a few lunged challenges before picking out De Bruyne in the middle.

And where most would have hit the ball first time, the Belgian talisman faked a shot before finding Eden Hazrd's little brother Thorgan Hazard all alone for a tap in.

That was like a Fifa goal.

  • GOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL!

THAT WAS A MAGNIFICENT GOAL FROM START TO FINISH!

AND WHO WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF IT ALL?!

    KEVIN DE BRUYNEEEEEEE!

  • DENMARK 1-0 BELGIUM

    50. Ouch, that's going to leave a mark in the morning.

To be fair to the wall, it did it's job but it seemed to hit Christensen in the face in the process.

  • DENMARK 1-0 BELGIUM

    50. Free-kick to Denmark given away recklessly by Leander Dendoncker.

Can the Danes double their lead?

  • DENMARK 1-0 BELGIUM

    48. OOOOO Meunier nearly had the last laugh when he leapt up highest to make connection with Youri Tielemans cross.

But the right winger time his header all wrong.

  • DENMARK 1-0 BELGIUM

    46. WAHEYYY!

Thomas Meunier tried to diagonally switch the ball from right to left but he slipped and gave it away.

That will be one for the highlight reel.

  • DENMARK 1-0 BELGIUM

    45. As expected, Roberto Martinez has wasted no time by making a change for the second half.

Dries Mertens who has been no existent on his 100th cap for the country is replaced by Manchester City midfield maestro, Kevin De Bruyne.

  • PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!

    IT’S THAT TIME AGAIN PEOPLE!

    THE SECOND HALF RESUMES!

  • POU-LLING THE STRINGS

Dane attacker Yussuf Poulsen has written his name in the European Championship history books by recording the second quickest goal in the competition (99 seconds).

Talk about fast out the blocks, Usain Bolt would have been proud.

  • OPENING HALF STATS

Belgium have made more passes and had more possession but a lot of that has been in their own half.

And like I said earlier, only one shot on target for Roberto Martinez' side in 45 minutes of play.

Poor from the #1 FIFA ranked country.

  • FIRST 45 ROUND-UP

The main talking point surrounding the game has been all the lovely support messages and gestures sent to Christian Eriksen.

But then Denmark topped that when Yussuf Poulsen put the Danes in front only a couple minutes after the first whistle and that set the tone for the remainder of the half.

I only recall Belgium having one shot on target and even that is debatable because it was from a corner.

Roberto Martinez needs to do something and quick because his side have been horrendous but then again, when you have Eden Hazard and Kevin De Bruyne on the bench, you don't need to panic.

Looking forward to the second half.

  • HALF TIME

    And breathe.

That was an excellent first half from Denmark but there is still plenty more time to go yet.

  • PEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!

BJORN KUIPERS BLOWS FOR THE INTERVAL!

    HT: DENMARK 1-0 BELGIUM

  • DENMARK 1-0 BELGIUM

    43. My goodness that was poor. He left nobody with a chance of even getting their head on it.

Dare I say it but that sums up Belgium's half.

  • DENMARK 1-0 BELGIUM

    41. Finally we see a bit of action from Romelu Lukaku.

He showed a good bit of skill luring Simon Kjaer to commit the foul right on the edge of the box.

Can Yannick Carrasco step up and produce some magic completely against the run of play?

  • DENMARK 1-0 BELGIUM

    38. For all of Denmark's passion and pressure this first half, the one thing that Belgium fans can say is that their team is still in the game.

A one goal deficit is such a dangerous lead to have.

  • DENMARK 1-0 BELGIUM

    35. OOOOO UNLUCKY DAMSGAARD!

Similar to his opponent Thomas Meunier, Mikkel Damsgaard dribbled round a few players but instead of crossing, the Dane went for it all alone.

    But his shot trickled wide.

That was close and you could tell Thibaut Courtois wasn't too sure where it was going to end up because the Belgian keeper was scrambling across his line.

  • DENMARK 1-0 BELGIUM

    32. Thomas Meunier tried to encourage his team-mates by inspirationally beating a couple men on the right-hand side and putting in a cross.

But it was headed away but you know who.

The skipper, ever-present Simon Kjaer who is making his 109th cap today putting him level with his best mate, Christian Eriksen.

  • RAGING ROBERTO

Any guesses to what the Belgium manager is saying here?

  • DENMARK 1-0 BELGIUM

    29. Nope.

The ball floated safely into the hands of Belgian goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
