The Tribal Chief returned to WWE at SummerSlam in stunning fashion and within weeks had claimed the Universal Title.

Since then he has dominated SmackDown, most recently leaving Kevin Owens seriously injured after throwing him from high up in the Thunderdome through a table.

Now claims Bryan and Goldberg are both potential contenders for Reigns’ title at WrestleMania 37.

Leader of the Yes Movement Bryan was viciously beaten by Reigns’ cousin Jey Uso back in October under the orders of the Big Dog.

He was written off TV for a month but has since beaten Uso twice since his comeback.

He is also the favourite with the bookies to win the Rumble, which would secure him a title shot for Mania.

However, despite the report’s claims, Goldberg now looks unlikely to be a contender for Reigns after his shock return last night on Raw to challenge WWE champ McIntyre to a match at the Royal Rumble.

The much-maligned veteran, 54, lost the Universal Title to Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 36 but appeared for the first time since to confront the Scotsman.

Goldberg came out of retirement to return to WWE in 2017 but he has wrestled just four times since, receiving fierce criticism for the quality of those performances plus the huge paydays he has received.

Despite only being part-time, he is believed to have received a seven figure fee for his two previous appearances in Saudi.

The first was in June 2019 when Goldberg lost to The Undertaker at Super ShowDown in a disastrous bout that was full of botches.

He nearly inflicted serious injury on ‘The Deadman’ with a failed Jackhammer attempt while he also suffered a concussion.

Fans were furious afterwards, and that anger intensified when he squashed the hugely-popular ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt at Super ShowDown back in February to become Universal Champ.

He was then due to face Roman Reigns at ‘Mania before the Big Dog withdrew from the show and was replaced by Strowman, who beat Goldberg lightning quick.

But he recently declared he had unfinished business with Reigns, saying: “I would say that is one of the most mild understatements that I have ever heard.

“He backed out on me at WrestleMania, he stole my move – God knows how long ago – and he continues to perform it at sub-par level.

“Let’s be perfectly honest, I’m the dude that delivers the spear and I don’t think that he understands what it’s like until I deliver one to him.

“So Roman, it’s coming and I’m coming for you. I may be old, I may be grey, but I’m still Goldberg!”
