RB Leipzig ‘approach Aston Villa about signing starlet Philogene-Bidace’ with teen available on free transfer in summer
ASTON VILLA have reportedly been approached by RB Leipzig about a January deal for rising star Jaden Philogene-Bidace.
The 18-year-old winger is out of contract at Villa Park in the summer and has attracted plenty of admirers.
According to , Leipzig have spotted Philogene-Bidace's availability and registered their interest.
Arsenal and Manchester City kept tabs on his progress last season after noting his rise from Villa's Under-18 team to U23s.
Philogene-Bidace has been in electric form at Premier League 2 level this term, with five goals and two assists in ten appearances. He also made his full debut in the EFL Trophy against Sunderland.
He was rewarded for his Premier League 2 displays with a nomination for the competition's November player of the month award.
Philogene-Bidace has had spells training with Dean Smith's senior side but faces a challenge to break into the first team because of their fine form this term.
Leipzig regularly check on hot prospects in the English football system.
The likes of Oliver Burke, Ademola Lookman and Ethan Ampadu have made the move to the Bundesliga giants in recent years.
If Leipzig secure a pre-contract agreement ahead of the summer then Villa will be due a compensation fee.
