Paige Spiranac reveals relationship status will stay out of public eye as golf sensation says ‘it’s my business’
GOLF Instagram star Paige Spiranac has lifted the lid on why she keeps her marriage to Steven Tinoco out of the public eye.
The 27-year-old - who last competed professionally in December 2016 - married the former minor league baseball player two years ago.
And while she is no stranger to showing off her flawless body to her followers on social media, she chooses to stay mum about her relationship.
Social media personality Spiranac has revealed she keeps certain aspects of her personal life private as she doesn't want anyone to get involved.
Speaking on the latest episode of her podcast, the American was asked why she doesn't comment on her marriage.
To which she said: "I get this question a lot, and I refuse to answer that and I have my reason."
Before adding: "I think a lot of people think I don’t talk about it because of my business, and if I say that I’m with someone or I’m married, then I’ll lose male followers, and that’s actually not the case.
“I am so open and honest about everything in my life, as you guys can tell from the podcast, that I want something to myself, and having a public relationship is very difficult.
"And as soon as you make it public, you’re giving everyone the right to ask questions and you have to then answer them."
She continued: "If I do post about it, and I end up breaking up with that person, I then have to talk about the break-up cause I owe that to everyone because I made my relationship public.
"Also, it’s just people tend to get involved, and I don’t like that.
"When a big milestone has happened in my life, it’s always turned into something that is not joyous anymore because people comment on it and they turn it into something that’s it not.
"And so I just want to leave my relationship and my family and things that are really, really, really important to me out of it."
Spiranac last week spoke of her biggest turn-ons and pet peeves in dating as she stated she hates it when a date is late or doesn't listen to what she is saying.
The former Cactus Tour star recently hit out at her critics of her 'free golf lessons' on Instagram.
She has also had her say on Floyd Mayweather's upcoming exhibition bout against Logan Paul as she spoke of her dislike for the YouTuber.
