Disaster for Darts World Champs with fans allowed in for just ONE night as London heads into Tier 3 and PL also hit
FANS preparing to enjoy the return of live darts have been dealt a monster blow after it was revealed London will go into Tier 3.
The PDC Darts World Championship is set to start on Tuesday and run for nearly three weeks.
Fans were finally set to return for the tournament, with 1,000 supporters allowed in per session.
However, after it was announced London would go into Tier 3 from midnight on Wednesday, fans will be allowed back for just ONE session.
Tuesday evening's matches will go ahead as planned with 1,000 fans enjoying some live action, starting from 5.45pm.
But that will it for the tournament after the Government announced London - as well as parts of Essex and Hertfordshire - would slip from Tier 2 to Tier 3 with cases of coronavirus rising.

And darts will not be the only sport affected, either.
Football will be hit badly by the move to Tier 3, with London clubs no longer allowing fans in the stadium.
The likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Fulham and West Ham will ALL be banned from having fans at their home games.
Currently in Tier 2, they had been allowed to welcome 2,000 fans per matchday since December 2.

But now, the London teams will go back to playing in front of empty stadiums with fans ordered to stay at home once more.
Arsenal, Fulham and West Ham all play at home on Wednesday night, hosting Southampton, Brighton and Crystal Palace respectively.
Those games will now go ahead with no supporters in the stands.
The Premier League clash between Palace and Liverpool on Saturday is the next match to be affected.
Championship games Brentford vs Reading and Millwall vs Nottingham Forest will also go ahead without fans.
Chelsea had managed TWO games in front of their fans at Stamford Bridge - the 3-0 win over Leeds and 1-1 draw with Krasnodar.
Meanwhile, Arsenal welcomed fans back for the horror 1-0 loss at home to Burnley.
