Page 3 girl Rosie takes tiny Nike Wimbledon dress for a spin around town

She said: 'It’s so short that when I took it out of the bag, I honestly thought I’d been sent a top by mistake'

IT is the tennis dress that’s proving a double fault.

Bosses at sportswear giant Nike are making urgent alterations to their £75 outfit to save the blushes of female players at Wimbledon.

Top players have been forced to take drastic steps to stop the flimsy dress serving up an eyeful.

So, Page 3 girl Rosie Jones, 25, sportingly agreed to wear the white Nike Premier Slam frock around town and get to the bottom of the problem.

And while waiting for a train on the Underground she had a classic Marilyn moment when the fabric blew up in the wind.

The back of the dress is so short that she had to use her back hand to protect her modesty.

Tennis fan Rosie, 25, from Middlesex said: “I love athleisure wear but this wouldn’t look out of place in a Roman orgy!

“It’s so short that when I took it out of the bag, I honestly thought I’d been sent a top by mistake. I can see why the players don’t like it.”

But when the heavens opened and people rushed to escape the rain, remarkably it didn’t take Rosie long to flag down a taxi.

Rosie may have hated the dress but taxi driver Danny Finch loved it.

He said: “She looks beautiful with dresses like that Wimbledon will be extra popular this year!”

“Could you please bring them by the Nike Wimbledon  House. This is VERY important.”

Oddly, on their website, Nike claim the “elongated back hem” actually provides “more coverage, making the dress ideal for layering over shorts or tights”.
